Information for future and already confirmed volunteers

Following the recent violent earthquake in Morocco, close to our village, we are faced with a difficult situation. Sadly, the earthquake has claimed many victims, leaving some under the rubble of collapsed houses and others homeless. In addition, many children and teenagers have lost their parents, making them orphans.
The Atlas Kinder Dar Bouidar association has decided to take in 50 orphans and integrate them among our children. At the same time, we plan to set up shelters on our land for 200 families, offering them all-inclusive accommodation until their homes are rebuilt. However, due to exceptional circumstances, we are obliged to cancel the arrival of volunteers for the time being. Current volunteers will have to leave our village by September 30, 2023.
We understand that this may cause concern and uncertainty at all levels. We sincerely hope that you will understand the situation and respect this decision. We look forward to welcoming you back in January 2024, and to seeing you again.
